Netherlands v Japan

Netherlands v Japan (Kick-off 9.00pm). Laura Woods presents coverage of the Group F match at Dallas Stadium in the USA. There have been three previous meetings between these nations, including a group-stage match at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa when a second-half goal from Wesley Sneijder was enough to give the Dutch a 1-0 victory. Both teams went on to progress to the knockout stage, and while the Japanese would bow out in the last-16, Oranje made it all the way to the final but fell short of victory in a 1-0 loss to Spain. Both teams were present at the previous World Cup in Qatar, and both topped their respective groups, with the Dutch leading Group A ahead of Senegal, Ecuador, and the host nation, while Samurai Blue bested Spain, Germany and Costa Rica. The most recent clash between tonight's opponents was a friendly match in 2013 that took place in Belgium, which saw Japan salvage a 2-2 draw after being 2-0 down. With analysis from Roy Keane, Gary Neville and Ange Postecoglu, and commentary by Jon Champion and Ally McCoist
