In London, 1946, author Juliet Ashton's career has taken off but she is not enjoying promoting her detective stories to eager audiences on a book tour. When she receives a letter from a Guernsey pig farmer inviting her to attend a meeting of his literary society, she eagerly accepts. Lily James (Actor) .. Juliet Ashton
Born: April 05, 1989 in Esher, Surrey
Best Known For: Playing Lady Rose MacClare in the period drama Downton Abbey and the title role in Disney's Cinderella (2015).
Early-life: Born Lily Chloe Ninette Thomson in Esher, Surrey, on April 5, 1989, but better known by her stage name Lily James. She studied at the Arts Educational School in Tring and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. In 2011, she starred in a stage version of the novel Vernon God Little at the Young Vic Theatre.
Career: James made her TV debut in the 2010 children's series Just William. The following year, she had a recurring role in the adult drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl. In 2012, she starred in the movies Fast Girls and Wrath of the Titans, and landed the role of Lady Rose MacClare in ITV's period drama Downton Abbey. More recently, she played the title role in Disney's Cinderella (2015).

Tom Courtenay (Actor) .. Eben Ramsey
Born: February 25, 1937 in Hull
Best Known For: His string of hit films in the 1960s.
Early-life: Thomas Daniel Courtenay was born in Hull on February 25, 1937, the son of Anne Eliza and Thomas Henry Courtenay, a boat painter. He attended Kingston High School where he showed a passion and flair for acting and went on to study drama at Rada in London. Courtenay made his stage debut in 1960 with the Old Vic theatre company, before taking over from Albert Finney in the title role of Billy Liar at the Cambridge Theatre in 1961.
Career: Courtenay's film debut was in 1962 with Private Potter. This was followed by The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner and Billy Liar, two highly acclaimed films and performances which helped usher in the British New Wave of the early-to-mid 1960s. For these roles Courtenay was awarded the 1962 Bafta for most promising newcomer and the 1963 award for best actor. He was nominated for an Oscar in 1965 for his role as revolutionary leader Pasha Antipov in Doctor Zhivago. Despite being catapulted to fame via the big screen he concentrated on stage work. Both Courtenay and pal Albert Finney received nominations for Best Actor in the 1984 Academy Awards for their roles in The Dresser. He teamed up again with Finney in the acclaimed BBC drama A Rather English Marriage. More recent work includes Last Orders, The Golden Compass, and an appearance in the 2008 Christmas special of The Royle Family.

Trivia: He received a knighthood in 2001.
Katherine Parkinson (Actor) .. Isola Pribby
Born: March 09, 1978 in Cambridge
Best Known For: The IT Crowd.
Early-life: Born in 1972, Katherine studied at Tiffin Girls' School in London and then read Classics at St Hilda's College, Oxford before moving to the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art where she met Chris O'Dowd, her fellow lead in The IT Crowd lead, for the first time. During her studies she left the course to star in the play The Age of Consent.
Career: While originally intending to pursue a career as a serious actress, her comic abilities saw her quickly noticed by talent scouts. She landed a role in ITV's Doc Marten before The IT Crowd came along. Other recent roles include hit movie The Boat That Rocked and sitcom The Old Guys. She also has several theatre credits.
Quote: 'I always say I owe Lamda so much. It's about 10 grand.'
Trivia: She was awarded the Best Television Comedy Actress award at the British Comedy Awards in December 2009.

Best Known For: Dancing on the Edge.
Early-life: Matthew William Goode was born in Exeter on April 3, 1978. His father was a geologist and his mother was a nurse who directed amateur theatre. He studied drama at the University of Birmingham and Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in London. Early TV credits include guest roles in The Inspector Lynley Mysteries and Marple.
Career: In 2004, Goode made his film debut in Chasing Liberty opposite Mandy Moore. Since then, he has starred on the big screen in Match Point (2005), Brideshead Revisited (2008), Watchman (2009), A Single Man (2009), Leap Year (2010), Cemetery Junction (2010) and Stoker (2013). He returned to TV with roles in Birdsong, The Poison Tree, Dancing on the Edge and Death Comes to Pemberley.

Trivia: He tends to be cast in roles that require a posh accent.

Born: September 14, 1989 in Cookham, Berkshire
Best Known For: Playing Lady Sybil Crawley in Downton Abbey.
Early-life: Jessica Rose Brown-Findlay was born in Cookham, Berkshire, on September 14, 1989 to Beverley and Christopher. She has a younger sister, Katy. Jessica trained with the National Youth Ballet and the Associates of the Royal Ballet. She was invited to dance with the Kirov Ballet at the Royal Opera House when she was 15. She made the switch to acting after a bungled ankle surgery ended her dancing career.
Career: Findlay made her acting debut alongside Michael Fassbender in the 2009 short film Man on a Motorcycle. A year later, she landed the role of Lady Sybil Crawley in ITV's hugely popular period drama Downton Abbey. Findlay made her film debut as the lead in Albatross (2011). She has also starred in E4 drama Misfits, an edition of Black Mirror and the miniseries Labyrinth. More recently, she has appeared in the films Winter's Tale (2014), Lullaby (2014) and The Riot Club (2014) and the two-part BBC drama The Outcast.
