Sofia Coppola's biopic based on the autobiography of Priscilla Presley. Schoolgirl Priscilla Beaulieu is accustomed to the unsettled life of an army family. Best Known For: Writing and directing Lost in Translation (2003).
Early-life: Sofia Carmina Coppola was born in New York on May 14, 1971 to set decorator Eleanor Coppola and legendary film director Francis Ford Coppola. She made her acting debut as an infant in Ford Coppola's The Godfather (1972) and went on to act in a number of her father's films. She was heavily criticised for her role in The Godfather Part III.
Career: Coppola is better known as a screenwriter and director. Her first film as a writer-director was The Virgin Suicides (1999). She followed this up with the critically acclaimed Lost in Translation (2003). It won a number of awards, including an Oscar for Coppola for best original screenplay. Since then, she has made Marie Antoinette (2006), Somewhere (2010) and The Bling Ring (2013).

Trivia: In 1994, after dropping out of college, Coppola created the fashion line Milkfed. Designer Marc Jacobs named the Sofia Bag after her.
