Early-life:
George was born in London on March 13, 1992 to Kim and Paul. At the age of five, George created and starred in his own production of the play Peter and the Wolf with his friends. In 2002, he auditioned for a role in PJ Hogan's Peter Pan (2003) and landed the part of Curly, one of the Lost Boys. Roles followed in The Thief Lord (2005) and the BBC TV series Johnny and the Bomb. At the age of 17, George unsuccessfully applied to both Rada and Lamda, but this has not stopped him forging a career as an actor.
Career:
In 2008, MacKay starred alongside Daniel Craig in the film Defiance. A year later, he starred in The Boys Are Back. More recently, he has starred in Sunshine on Leith (2013), Pride (2014), Bypass (2014) and the miniseries The Outcast. In 2015, he played the lead role in the play Ah, Wilderness! at The Young Vic.
