Early-life:
Born on October 14, 1985 in London. Jack attended Westminster School before going on to study at Oxford University and, eventually, the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.
Career:
While he was a student, Farthing was cast as Benvolio in Romeo and Juliet at the Globe Theatre. He then took part in other productions there, as well as at the Orange Tree, Richmond and the Royal Court. One of his first TV appearances was in the period drama Dancing on the Edge. He also played Freddie Threepwood from 2013 to 2014 in Blandings. Farthing's other TV credits include Pramface, Silk, Agatha Christie's Poirot and Cilla. He also appeared in the films The Riot Club (2014) and Burn Burn Burn (2015). Since 2015, he has played George Warleggan in Poldark.
