Early-life:
Rosario was born in New York on May 9, 1979, and raised by her mother Isabel and stepfather Greg. Rosario has a half-brother, Clay. Isabel was 16 when she had Rosario and at the age of 21, she moved her family into an abandoned building on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, where she and her husband renovated an apartment. Rosario had her first taste in front of a camera as a child when she made an appearance on Sesame Street.
Career:
As a teenager, Dawson starred in the controversial 1995 film Kids. Since then, she has performed in a wide range of films, including Men in Black II (2002), 25th Hour (2002), Alexander (2004), Sin City (2005), Rent (2005), Clerks II (2006), Death Proof (2007) and Seven Pounds (2008). More recently, she has starred in Percy Jackson & the Lightning Thief (2010), Unstoppable (2010), Trance (2013) and Gimme Shelter (2013) and Sin City: A Dame to Kill For (2014).
