The presenter visits the Firth of Clyde, in Irvine, a harbour town steeped in shipping history - a fitting home for the Scottish Maritime Museum. She hears the history of this glass-roofed Victorian Linthouse which once stood in a shipyard on the Clyde, was salvaged and moved 30 miles to its current location. Susan also looks into scientific glassblowing, and meets a modelmaker who has created a version of the HMS Victory
