Early-life:
Isla Lang Fisher was born in Muscat, Oman, on February 3, 1976. Her parents are Scottish but they were living in Oman at the time of her birth. In her early years, her family moved to Bathgate, Scotland, and when she was six, they relocated to Perth, Western Australia. From a young age, she appeared in commercials on Australian TV and went on to win roles in children's shows Bay City and Paradise Beach.
Career:
Isla's big break came in 1994 when she landed the role of Shannon Reed on Home and Away. After leaving the show in 1997, she enrolled at L'Ecole Internationale de Theatre Jacques Lecoq, a theatre and arts training school in Paris. She also exploited the fame she achieved on Home and Away by appearing in pantomime in the UK. In 2002, she played Shaggy's love interest on the big screen in Scooby-Doo (2002). Since then she has appeared in a number of Hollywood films, including I Heart Huckabees (2004), Wedding Crashers (2005), Confessions of a Shopaholic (2009), Bachelorette (2012), The Great Gatsby (2013) and Now You See Me (2013). On the small screen, she had a recurring role in the fourth season of Arrested Development.

Trivia:
At the age of 18, she published two teen novels, Bewitched and Seduced by Fame. Wed actor Sacha Baron Cohen in 2010. They have two daughters, Olive and Elula.
