Early-life:
Ashley was born in London on June 30, 1982. He was raised by his mother, Pamela Case, and went on to study at the Sylvia Young Theatre School, before joining the hip hop group So Solid Crew, performing as Asher D.
Career:
Since So Solid Crew split in 2006, Walters has released solo recordings and carved out a career as an actor. He has starred in The Bill, Holby City, Top Buzzer, Hustle, Five Days and Bedlam. More recently, he has appeared in Top Boy, Inside Men, True Love, Sinbad, Doctor Who, Truckers, The Musketeers and Silent Witness. He has also performed on the stage in Sing Yer Heart Out for the Lads, Oxford Street, and Off the Endz.

Trivia:
In 2002, Walters was jailed for 18 months for carrying a loaded air pistol modified to fire live ammunition.
