Early-life:
Eva Jacqueline Longoria was born on March 15, 1975 in Corpus Christi, Texas, United States. She got a Bachelor of Science degree in kinesiology at Texas A&M University-Kingsville. She then entered a talent contest where she was spotted and signed by a theatrical agent. This is what brought her to Los Angeles. While auditioning for roles, Eva worked as a headhunter for four years.
Career:
Longoria's first TV role was a guest appearance in Beverly Hills, 90210 in 2000. Her breakthrough role was as Isabella Brana in the TV series The Young and the Restless, which she appeared in from 2001 until 2003. In 2004, she began playing Gabrielle Solis in the TV series Desperate Housewives and she continued to play the character until 2012. During this time, she appeared in the films Harsh Times (2005), The Sentinel (2006) and Over Her Dead Body (2008). Since then, she has appeared in such TV series as Mother Up!, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Telenovela and Decline and Fall.
