Best Known For: Being part of an acting dynasty.
Early-life: The son of actor Lloyd Bridges and his wife Dorothy, Jeffrey Leon Bridges was born on December 4, 1949, in Los Angeles, California. He has a younger sister, Lucinda, and an older brother, Beau, who also acts. Both boys appeared with their mother in the 1950 film The Company She Keeps (Jeff was just four months old at the time), and occasionally featured with their dad on his popular TV shows in the 1950s and 1960s. Jeff eventually studied acting in New York, and also spent eight years serving with the United States Coast Guard Reserve.
Career: Bridges' first major role came in the 1971 movie The Last Picture Show, for which he garnered a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. More Oscar nominations followed for Thunderbolt and Lightfoot, Starman, The Contender and True Grit; he's won once for Crazy Heart. One of his better-known roles was in the 1982 sci-fi cult classic Tron, in which he played Kevin Flynn, a video game programmer - a role he returned to in the 2010 sequel. Other major projects include the Coen Brothers' classic The Big Lebowski, as well as The Fisher King, Fearless, Jagged Edge, Iron Man and Seabiscuit. An accomplished musician, Bridges has also released three albums.

Trivia: Away from showbusiness, he has studied Buddhism and meditates for 30 minutes before he begins his working day.

Best Known For: Playing Don Draper in Mad Men.
Early-life: Jonathan Daniel Hamm was born in March 1971 in Missouri. His parents split up when he was two, and he was raised by his mother until her death from cancer when he was 10. He studied theatre at college, but took jobs as a waiter and a teacher before moving to LA in 1995. It took five years of hard graft before Hamm landed his first TV role, as a firefighter in the TV series Providence.
Career: In 2001, Hamm was asked to feature in a play, which then evolved into the critically acclaimed Kissing Jessica Stein. Around the same time he landed a small role in the comedy Space Cowboys. A series of recurring TV roles in shows such as Providence, The Division, What About Brian and The Unit boosted his CV, before he finally landed the role of Don Draper in Mad Men. In 2008, Hamm won the Golden Globe for his performance in the period drama. His film credits include The Day the Earth Stood Still, A Single Man, Sucker Punch, Friends with Kids and Million Dollar Arm. On the small screen, he has also starred in Black Mirror.

Best Known For: Playing superhero Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Early-life: Christopher Hemsworth was born in Melbourne on August 11, 1983 to Leonie and Craig. He was raised in Melbourne and an Aboriginal community in the Outback called Bulman. His older brother Luke and younger brother Liam are also actors. In 2004, Chris was cast as Kim Hyde in Home and Away, a role he went on to play for more than 180 episodes.
Career: Hemsworth landed his first film role in Star Trek (2009), playing James T Kirk's father, George Kirk. The films A Perfect Getaway (2009) and Ca$h (2010) followed until he got his big break playing the title role in Thor (2011). He has reprised his Thor character in Avengers Assemble (2012), Thor: The Dark World (2013), Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015) and Thor: Ragnarok (2017). His other films include The Cabin in the Woods (2012), Snow White and the Huntsman (2012), Red Dawn (2012), Rush (2013), Blackhat (2015), In the Heart of the Sea (2015) and Ghostbusters (2016).

Early-life: Dakota Mayi Johnson was born in Austin, Texas, on October 4, 1989. She is the daughter of actor Don Johnson and actress Melanie Griffith. She has six half-siblings, four on her father's side and two on her mother's side. She enjoyed dancing as a child and became interested in modelling at the age of 12 after appearing in a photo shoot for Teen Vogue.
Career: Dakota made her acting debut in Crazy in Alabama (1999), a film that starred her mother, featured her half-sister Stella and was directed by her stepfather Antonio Banderas. In 2006, Dakota signed with IMG Models and in 2009, she modelled for MANGO brand's jeans. Her acting career proper started with a scene alongside Justin Timberlake in The Social Network (2010). Roles followed in Beastly (2011), For Ellen (2012), Goats (2012), 21 Jump Street (2012), The Five-Year Engagement (2012) and Gay Dude (2012) before she landed a lead role in short-lived sitcom Ben and Kate. In September 2013, it was announced that she would play the female lead in the film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey (2014).
