Early-life: Daniel Wroughton Craig was born in Chester on March 2, 1968. His father is a former merchant seaman and pub landlord, his mother an art teacher. Early-life: Christopher Robert Evans was born on June 13, 1981 in Boston, Massachusetts, United States and raised in the town of Sudbury. His father, Robert, is a dentist and his mother, Lisa, is an artistic director at the Concord Youth Theater. He has two sisters, Carly and Shana, and a brother called Scott. After graduating from Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School, he moved to New York and took classes at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute.
Career: One of Evans' earliest film roles was in Not Another Teen Movie (2001). After filming wrapped for this, he was cast in lead roles in The Perfect Score (2004) and Cellular (2004). His breakthrough was as superhero the Human Torch in the adaptation of Fantastic Four (2005), a role he reprised for its sequel Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007). Evans then went on to appear in Sunshine (2007), The Losers (2010) and Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010). In 2011, he starred as the titular character in Captain America: The First Avenger. Early-life: Born in Los Angeles, California, on November 22, 1958, the daughter of actors Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh. Her parents divorced in 1962. She has an older sister and four half-siblings from her father's subsequent marriages. Jamie Lee attended both Westlake School in Los Angeles and Beverly Hills High School before studying at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California. She considered majoring in social work, but left after a semester to pursue an acting career.
Career: Curtis's film debut came in the smash-hit 1978 horror Halloween; she's appeared in several sequels. After several more horror movies, she established herself as a major talent. Her role in 1983's Trading Places helped establish her as a sex symbol. Five years later, A Fish Called Wanda was a huge hit, and showcased her as a first-rate comic actress. She won a Golden Globe for her work in 1994's True Lies. Other film roles include Disney's Freaky Friday, opposite Lindsay Lohan. In October 2006, Curtis announced she had quit acting to focus on family. However, she soon returned to showbusiness with appearances in Beverly Hills Chihuahua and NCIS.

Early-life: Antonia Collette was born on November 1, 1972, in Sydney, Australia, the first of three children to truck driver Bob and his wife Judy, a customer service representative. After leaving school at 16, she enrolled in the National Institute of Dramatic Arts, and supported herself by delivering pizzas. After studying for 18 months, she left to star in the Russell Crowe movie Spotswood. She was nominated for the Australian Film Institute plaudit of Best Supporting Actress.

Early-life: Born Arthur Christopher Orme Plummer in Toronto, Canada, on December 13, 1929, the only child of Isabelle and John. His parents divorced shortly after his birth and he was brought up at his mother's family home in Senneville, Quebec, near Montreal. He studied to be a concert pianist but developed an interest in acting after seeing Laurence Olivier's film version of Henry V. He joined the Canadian Repertory Company in Ottawa, Ontario, and appeared in around 75 roles between 1948 and 1950.
Career: Plummer made his Broadway debut in 1953 in The Starcross Story - a play that lasted just one night. He had better luck with his next show, Home is the Hero, which lasted for 30 performances. He has since appeared successfully on stages around the world, including London. Plummer's film career began in 1958 when he was cast in Stage Struck, but it was The Sound of Music in 1965 that made him an international star. Since then, he has been a heavily in-demand character actor and appeared in a number of notable films, including The Night of the Generals (1967), The Return of the Pink Panther (1975), Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country (1991), Malcolm X (1992), The Insider (1999), A Beautiful Mind (2001) and The Lake House (2006). He received his first Academy Award nomination in 2009 for The Last Station, but lost out to Christoph Waltz. He had better luck in 2012 when he won an Oscar for his performance in Beginners (2010).
