Gerard Butler (Actor) .. Captain Joe Glass
Born: November 13, 1969 in Glasgow
Best Known For: Taking the lead in sword and sandals epic, 300
Early-life: Born on November 13, 1969, in Glasgow, he's the youngest of three children. His parents divorced when he was young, and he had little contact with his father until he was 16, when they became close; Gerard was devastated when his dad died of cancer six years later. He attended the University of Glasgow, where he studied law, eventually becoming president of the school's Law Society. He also spent a year living in California. Gerard landed a trainee lawyer's position at an Edinburgh law firm, but was fired a week before gaining his qualifications.
Career: Butler's first role of note was in a stage production of Coriolanus directed by Steven Berkoff. After playing the character of Renton in the stage adaptation of Trainspotting, he made his big-screen debut in Mrs Brown. Small roles in James Bond outing Tomorrow Never Dies and Tale of the Mummy followed. His sensuous turn as Dracula in Wes Craven's horror caught the eye, and he's been busy ever since. Among his biggest projects since are the lead role in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Phantom of the Opera, 300, RocknRolla, PS I Love You and Law Abiding Citizen. Butler is clearly a man who likes to keep busy - he usually has lots of films in various stages of production.
Quote: "During some of the most miserable periods of my life, people thought I was very happy. And now that I'm actually happier, I don't have to show it. I'm more comfortable with myself."
Trivia: Butler is a big fan of Celtic FC and owns a stake in the Jamaica Tallawahs cricket team.
Gary Oldman (Actor) .. CJCS Charles Donnegan
Born: March 21, 1958 in London
Best Known For: Being able to tackle any role.
Early-life: Gary Leonard Oldman was born on March 21, 1958, in New Cross, London. He was raised by his mother and two sisters (one of whom is EastEnders' Laila Morse) after his alcoholic father left home when Gary was aged seven. A young Oldman toyed with becoming a musician, but was inspired to take up acting after watching Malcolm McDowell in the movie The Raging Moon. He was turned down by Rada, but gained a place at the Rose Bruford College of Speech and Drama, before honing his skills with Greenwich Young People's Theatre.
Career: Following a successful spell on stage he turned to movies, making a massive impact as Sid Vicious in Sid and Nancy in 1986, and Prick Up Your Ears a year later. Alcoholism threatened his career, but he has now quit booze. His roles include playing Lee Harvey Oswald in JFK, the title role in Bram Stoker's Dracula, and Mason Verger in Hannibal. Other projects include Lost in Space, Leon, and The Fifth Element. His directorial debut, the acclaimed Nil By Mouth, was a heart-breaking, semi-autobiographical movie about his childhood. Oldman suffered a career slump around the Millennium, when he concentrated more on raising his young family than he did on acting. But he came back stronger than ever with roles in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Tinker Tailor Solider Spy (for which he was Oscar nominated) and the Batman franchise.
Quote: "I don't think Hollywood knows what to do with me. I would imagine that when it comes to romantic comedies, my name would be pretty low down on the list."
Trivia: In 2001, he described himself as a recovering alcoholic.

While in high school, his friends formed a rap trio that opened for such acts as N.W.A and Big Daddy Kane. He got a scholarship for Florida A&M University, where he majored in business administration.
Career: In 1992, Common released his first album, Can I Borrow A Dollar?, under the stage name Common Sense. He released his second album, Resurrection, under this name before a lawsuit forced him to change it. His rap career has seen him collaborate with Erykah Badu, De La Soul and other artists and groups. He has also won three Grammy Awards and an Oscar for Best Original Song. His Oscar-winning song, Glory, was featuring in Selma (2014), which he also co-starred in. He initially transitioned into acting in 2003, when he got his first role in the sitcom Girlfriends. His big screen debut was in Smokin' Aces (2007). Other films he has appeared in include American Gangster (2007), Wanted (2008), Terminator Salvation (2009) and Suicide Squad (2016).
