A cop's career is seemingly over when he accidentally shoots a hostage while thwarting a bank robbery. He is given the chance to redeem himself by joining an elite unit headed by a veteran sergeant. Their mission is to escort an international crime lord in custody as he is taken to prison. However, they hit a snag when their prisoner offers a multimillion-dollar reward to anyone who breaks him out of jail, placing them under attack from every criminal in the city. Early-life: Born Samuel Leroy Jackson on December 21, 1948, in Washington DC. He was raised by his mother and grandparents in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He played trumpet and French horn in the school orchestra, and had a stutter which he eventually overcame. Jackson became involved in the civil rights movement and was a social worker before graduating with a degree in theatre arts from Morehouse College in Atlanta in 1972. He later moved to New York where he worked as a doorman to make ends meet.
Career: Jackson's first film was Together for Days in 1972. He later spent two years as a stand-in on The Cosby Show, before starring in the original Broadway production of August Wilson's The Piano Lesson. A series of walk-on parts in films and on TV followed. Spike Lee cast him as the crack-addicted Gator in Jungle Fever, which gained him international acclaim. His most notable films have included Jurassic Park, Pulp Fiction (for which he was Oscar-nominated), Star Wars: Episodes One, Two and Three, Shaft, The 51st State, Unbreakable, Changing Lanes, Black Snake Moan, Django Unchained, Thor, The Avengers and many more. He is regarded as one of the most bankable assets in the movie business and always has a number of films in the pipeline.

Colin Farrell (Actor) .. Jim Street

Early-life: Born Colin James Farrell on May 31, 1976, in Castleknock, Dublin. He's the youngest of four children, and one of his sisters, Claudine, is now his personal assistant. His father, Eamon, was a professional footballer, and Farrell thought of following in his footsteps until he realised his love of drinking and girls got in the way of training. Instead, he concentrated on acting after being taken to a drama club by his brother.
Career: Farrell dropped out of Gaeity Drama School in Dublin, but landed a part in Ballykissangel a few months later. Roles in The War Zone, and Ordinary Decent Criminal followed before Hollywood beckoned. An acclaimed performance in Tigerland in 2000 led to him being cast in Hart's War, and Minority Report. Phone Booth, his first lead role, was a hit and made him a force to be reckoned with. Since then, Farrell has starred in such films as The Recruit, Daredevil, Intermission, Alexander, Miami Vice, In Bruges (for which he won a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor), The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, Crazy Heart and Ondien. He always has a number of films in the pipeline.

Early-life: Mayte Michelle Rodriguez was born July 12, 1978, in Texas to Rafael Rodríguez and Carmen Milady Pared. At the age of eight, she and her family left the Lone Star state and moved to the Dominican Republic, later relocating to Puerto Rico. At 11, they settled in New Jersey. Like many kids, she longed to be famous and dropped out of school at 17 to pursue her showbiz dreams.
Career: Rodriguez appeared as an extra in the films Summer of Sam and Cradle Will Rock. She went to a New York casting call for the movie Girlfight, and landed the lead role. It brought her to the attention of leading casting agents, and before long she was snapped up for the projects 3AM, The Fast and the Furious, Resident Evil, Blue Crush and SWAT. A keen video game fan, she lent her dulcet tones to Driver 3 and Halo 2, and currently provides one of the voices for animated series IGPX. Aside from appearing in Lost, she can soon be seen in horror thriller The Breed.

LL Cool J (Actor) .. Deacon Kay
Born: January 14, 1969 in Bay Shore, New York, United States
Best Known For: His rap music.
Early-life: Born James Todd Smith on January 14, 1968 in Bay Shore, New York, United States. He started rapping at age nine and created demo tapes in his grandparents' house at 16. After adopting the stage name LL Cool J, which stands for Ladies Love Cool James, he was signed to Def Jam.
Career: LL Cool J released his first single, I Need a Beat, in 1984 and his first album, Radio, in 1985. He also started his acting career in 1985, with a cameo in the film Krush Groove. The next year, he had another cameo in Wildcats (1986) but then took the time out from acting to concentrate on music. His biggest selling album, Bigger and Deffer was released in 1987 and he went on to have a highly successful career in hip hop. Eventually, he returned to acting, beginning with a starring role in the film Out-of-Sync (1995). He then got a part in TV sitcom In the House until 1999. LL Cool J was planning to retire from music in 1998 and just concentrate on acting but instead he decided to keep working in both fields. Since then, he has appeared in such films as Deep Blue Sea (1999), S.W.A.T. (2003) and Last Holiday (2006). Since 2009 he has starred in the TV series NCIS: Los Angeles as Sam Hanna. In the meantime, he has released a number of albums on Def Jam and is considered to be one of the most successful rappers of all time.

Early-life: Born January 7, 1971 in Modesto, California where he grew up with four younger siblings. He graduated from Beyer High School and attended Modesto Junior College. After studying computer science, criminology and psychology, he was drawn to acting. Renner also honed his skills as a drummer, guitarist, pianist and song-writer. He eventually moved to San Francisco to study at the American Conservatory Theater, before relocating to Hawaii and eventually Los Angeles. His work on acclaimed theatre project Search and Destroy paved the way for 1995 movie Senior School, and in 2002 he gave a memorable turn as a serial killer in Dahmer.
Career: Commercial success came in 2005 thriller SWAT, and he also gave a memorable turn as a soldier in 2007 offering 28 Weeks Later. The same year he starred in critically acclaimed Western The Assassination of Jessie James by the Coward Robert Ford. In 2008, Kathryn Bigelow cast Renner in her war drama The Hurt Locker, which landed him an Oscar nomination for Best Actor. He gave a fine turn in Ben Affleck's Boston-based crime thriller The Town. His recent work includes Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, The Avengers, The Bourne Legacy, Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, and American Hustle.
