Career: While still a bodybuilder, Sean was offered the chance to appear in a West End production of South Pacific, which kick-started his acting career. His film debut came in 1955's Lilacs in the Spring, but he didn't become a major star until he appeared as Bond in 1962's Dr No. It remains his most famous role, despite hits including The Man Who Would Be King, Rising Sun, A Bridge Too Far, Time Bandits, Highlander, The Rock, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade and Entrapment. He won a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for The Untouchables in 1987.

Career: Cage changed his name from Coppola to Cage (inspired by Marvel comic hero Luke Cage) so he could achieve success in his own right. However, he got some of his earliest breaks in the movies Rumble Fish, The Cotton Club and Peggy Sue Got Married, which were directed by his uncle Francis. The actor won critical acclaim for films including Raising Arizona, Moonstruck and Wild at Heart, before picking up an Oscar in 1995 for his portrayal of an alcoholic in Leaving Las Vegas. After that, he branched out into action films, making Con Air, The Rock and Face/Off, but returned to his offbeat roots with movies like Adaptation, Lord of War, The Weather Man and World Trade Center. Career: He initially worked as a house-painter to make ends meet, but acting jobs soon started flooding in, mainly in theatre and TV. He bagged his first leading movie role in the cult film Knightriders in 1981, but it was his performance as John Glenn in the acclaimed The Right Stuff that marked him out as a rising star. In 1995, another fact-based drama about astronauts, Apollo 13, earned him his first Oscar nod. Career: Morse made his big-screen debut in 1980 Oscar-nominated comedy Inside Moves. After appearing in the projects Our Family Business and Nurse, he was cast in TV medical drama St Elsewhere. The show helped boost the profiles of Morse and co-star Denzel Washington. He stayed with the series for six years, and went on to feature in Midnight Caller and Cross of Fire, before the 1990s brought a string of high-profile roles, including the movies Desperate Hours, The Indian Runner, Twelve Monkeys, The Rock, The Long Kiss Goodnight, Contact and The Green Mile. Over the past few years, Morse has featured on the big screen in Dancer in the Dark, Hearts in Atlantis, 16 Blocks, The Hurt Locker, Mother and Child and Collaborator and on TV in Hack, House, John Adams, Medium and Treme.
