Early-life: Mary Louise Streep was born in Summit, New Jersey, on June 22, 1949. A popular high school student, she was a cheerleader and homecoming queen. She always wanted to be a performer, but her first ambition was to be an opera star. She didn't consider acting until she began treading the boards at Vassar College. On completing her degree, Streep enrolled at the Yale School of Drama. While waiting for her big break, she worked as a waitress.
Career: Streep started out on the New York stage before making her TV and film debuts in 1977 in Secret Service and Julia respectively. She received her first Oscar nomination a year later for The Deer Hunter and has been nominated a further 17 times - a record - with wins for Kramer vs Kramer, Sophie's Choice and The Iron Lady. Early-life: Anne Jacqueline Hathaway was born in Brooklyn, New York, on November 12, 1982. Her father is a lawyer and her mother is in actress. Anne has two brothers. Her family moved to New Jersey when she was six. She participated in a number of plays at school and went on to study at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie before transferring to New York University's Gallatin School of Individualized Study. She also studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and was the first teenager admitted into The Barrow Group Theater Company's acting programme.
Career: At the age of 16, Hathaway was cast in short-lived TV series Get Real. Her big-screen debut came in The Other Side of Heaven. In the same year she beat 500 other girls to land a role alongside Julie Andrews in Disney's The Princess Diaries. The film was a huge success and the family films Nicholas Nickleby, Ella Enchanted and The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement followed before she started taking on more mature roles. The first of these was gritty drama Havoc. Since then, Hathaway has starred in a number of box-office hits, including Brokeback Mountain, The Devil Wears Prada, Becoming Jane, Rachel Getting Married, Alice in Wonderland, Love & Other Drugs, The Dark Knight Rises and Les Miserables, a role that secured her a Best Supporting Actress Oscar.

Early-life: Emily Olivia Leah Blunt was born in Roehampton on February 23, 1983 to Joanna and Oliver. She has a brother, Sebastian, and two sisters, Felicity and Suzanna. She studied drama for two years at Hurtwood House boarding school and it was while she was starring in a school play in August 2000 at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival that she was spotted by an agent. He helped her win a part opposite Judi Dench in Peter Hall's 2001 production of The Royal Family. A year later, she played Juliet in Romeo and Juliet at the Chichester Festival.
Career: Blunt made her TV debut in 2003 in Boudica, and in the same year, she starred on the small screen in two-part drama Henry VIII. She received praise for her performance in the critically acclaimed low-budget British film My Summer of Love and won a Golden Globe for her role in Stephen Poliakoff's TV drama Gideon's Daughter. Her rise to international prominence began in 2006 when she starred on the big screen opposite Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway in The Devil Wears Prada. Early-life: Born in Peekskill, New York, on November 11, 1960, Stanley's parents are of Italian descent and he is the oldest of three children. During the early 1970s, his family spent a year living in Florence, Italy. He majored in acting at the State University of New York at Purchase and graduated in 1982. In the same year, he earned his Actors' Equity card playing a soldier in Broadway play The Queen and the Rebels. He made his film debut in Prizzi's Honor (1985).
Career: Tucci is much in demand as an actor and has had roles in a number of films, including Beethoven (1992), The Pelican Brief (1993), Kiss of Death (1995), Big Night (1996), Road to Perdition (2002), The Life and Death of Peter Sellers (2004), The Devil Wears Prada (2006), Julie & Julia (2009), The Lovely Bones (2009), Captain America: The First Avenger (2011), The Hunger Games (2012) and its sequel The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (2013), and Jack the Giant Slayer (2013). Simon Baker (Actor) .. Christian Thompson

Best Known For: The Mentalist.
Early-life: Simon Baker was born in Launceston, Tasmania on July 30, 1969 to English teacher Elizabeth Labberton and groundskeeper/mechanic Barry Baker. Simon also has a sister and three younger half-siblings from his mother's second marriage. Growing up, Simon became an avid surfer (he was state champion at one point) and water polo player. He dabbled with nursing when he was 17 and has also worked in a pub and as a bricklayer.
Career: Baker entered the world of entertainment in 1991 when he appeared in a couple of music videos. He then moved into TV, working in E Street, Home and Away, and Heartbreak High. He has continued to work in various TV series, playing leads in The Guardian and Smith as well as his breakout role of Patrick Jane in The Mentalist. He has featured in supporting and lead roles on the big screen as well, nabbing parts in LA Confidential, Red Planet, The Affair of the Necklace, Land of the Dead, Book of Love, The Devil Wears Prada, Sex and Death 101, The Killer Inside Me and I Give It a Year. He was also part of the winning Rest of the World team at 2010's Soccer Aid match, despite having a penalty saved by England goalkeeper Jamie Theakston.
