Ross Kemp (Host)
Born: July 21, 1964 in Barking, Essex
Best Known For: Dodging the bullets on the field of battle and for playing EastEnders' hard man Grant Mitchell.
Early-life: Ross James Kemp was born on July 21, 1964, in Barking, Essex. His mother was a hairdresser, his father a policeman. His brother Darren is a documentary producer. Kemp excelled at sports at school, but knew from an early age he wanted to be an actor after appearing as a shepherd in a nativity play. He later enrolled at the Webber Douglas Academy in London, making ends meet by working as a labourer and waiter.
Career: Kemp has rarely been out of work since graduating in 1985. His first credited TV appearance was in Emmerdale in 1986. He also appeared in a string of Kellogg's adverts and featured in such series as Birds of a Feather and London's Burning, before landing the role of Grant in EastEnders - the part that made him a household name. He left in 1999 after nine years. He then appeared in A Christmas Carol, Ultimate Force, In Defence, Hero of the Hour, A Line in the Sand, and a TV remake of Spartacus. In 2005, he featured in an episode of Extras and made a brief, but much-publicised return to EastEnders. He has also hosted a number of hard-hitting documentaries for Sky1, including the Bafta-winning Ross Kemp on Gangs.
Quote: 'I never fail to get a buzz from setting off to work early in the morning and settling into that make-up chair. Mind you, I've done an awful lot of rubbish.'
Trivia: He has written several books, including the novel Moving Target.
Nick Pickard (Contestant)
Born: April 16, 1975 in London
Best Known For: Playing Tony Hutchinson in Hollyoaks.
Early-life: Nicholas Pickard was born in London on April 16, 1975. He is the older brother of fellow actor John Pickard. Nick studied acting at the Sylvia Young Theatre School and Corona Theatre School. His early TV credits include roles in Erasmus Microman, You Rang, M'Lord?, Grange Hill and EastEnders.
Career: Pickard's big break came in 1995 when he landed the role of Tony Hutchinson in Hollyoaks. He appeared in the very first episode and still remains on the show today. Over the years, Tony has been married to Mandy Richardson and her stepsister Cindy, lost a daughter to sudden infant death syndrome and battled with testicular cancer. Away from Hollyoaks and spin-off series Hollyoaks Later, Pickard has appeared in panto and reached the final in the 2011 series of Celebrity MasterChef, losing out to Phil Vickery.
Quote: 'I first joined Hollyoaks when I was 19 years old and every year I expect it to end - hope it doesn't - but expect that it could, and every year they keep asking me to stay for another year, so I'm very lucky.'
Trivia: Pickard is the owner of a number of restaurants in Sheffield. He supports the School Food Trust, which encourages children to eat healthy food.
Sue Cleaver (Contestant)
Born: September 02, 1963 in London
Best Known For: Playing Eileen Grimshaw on Coronation Street.
Early-life: Sue was born in London on September 2nd, 1963. After spending a year in Canada working as a nanny, she returned to England to study drama at the Manchester Polytechnic School of Theatre. She made her TV debut in a 1994 edition of A Touch of Frost.
Career: Cleaver made her film debut alongside Julie Walters and Brenda Blethyn in Girls' Night (1998). A recurring role in the police drama The Cops was followed by guest appearances in Victoria Wood's sitcom dinnerladies. She is best known for playing Eileen Grimshaw on Coronation Street, a role she has played since 2000.
Quote: 'Having good control of diabetes is really important - after all, people with the condition live with it every day, taking care of their diet and physical activity levels.'
Trivia: Cleaver is a patron of the charity When You Wish Upon a Star. She has Type 2 diabetes.
Rebecca Sarker (Contestant)
Perry Fenwick (Contestant)
Born: May 29, 1962 in Canning Town
Best Known For: Playing Billy Mitchell in EastEnders.
Early-life: Perry was born in Canning Town on May 29, 1962. He has a sister, Tracey, and two brothers, Faron and Lee. He went on to attend the Sylvia Young Theatre School. He had minor roles in a number of TV shows, including Tucker's Luck, Bergerac and Inspector Morse, before landing a recurring role on the hugely popular sitcom Watching.
Career: Throughout the 1990s, Fenwick made guest appearances in the likes of Lovejoy, Minder, Pie in the Sky, Shine on Harvey Moon, Ellington, Casualty and The Bill. His big break came in 1998 when he joined the cast of EastEnders as Billy Mitchell.
Quote: 'People believe Walford does exist.'
Trivia: He filmed his 1,000th episode of EastEnders in August 2010.
