Julien Alfred of Saint Lucia produced one of the most outstanding performances of last year's event when she won the 200m in a meeting record time of 21.71, finishing more than half a second clear of the British pair of Dina Asher-Smith and Amy Hunt in second and third respectively. There was also a meeting record in the men's 1500m, with Kenyan Phanuel Koech running 3:28.82 to beat another Team GB athlete in Josh Kerr into second place
