Born: February 08, 1989 in Bracknell

Best Known For: The Story of Tracy Beaker.

Early-life: Born Danielle Jane Harmer in Bracknell on February 8, 1989. She made her stage debut at the age of five in The Who's Tommy in the West End. She went to Redroofs Theatre School in Maidenhead. She had small parts in a number of TV shows before landing the title role in CBBC comedy drama The Story of Tracy Beaker in 2002.

Career: After five series of The Story of Tracy Beaker and the feature-length film, Tracy Beaker's Movie of Me, Dani went on to star in prime-time sitcom After You've Gone and children's sitcom Dani's House. In 2010, She returned to the role that made her famous in Tracy Beaker Returns and a year later in Tracy Beaker Survival Files. Away from acting, she recorded an album that was never released and appeared as a contestant on Let's Dance for Sport Relief. In 2012, she partnered with Vincent Simone on Strictly Come Dancing.

Trivia: Harmer has played Janet in a UK touring production of The Rocky Horror Show.
