Part one of two. Wildlife expert Liz Bonnin, Slumdog Millionaire actress Freida Pinto and mountaineer Jon Gupta explore the hidden wonders of the natural world in India, a land where tigers dance and lions roam. This edition starts with Liz visiting the Gir Forest, home to the world's last Asiatic lions, where she witness two females hunting, before watching elephants walking through a tea plantation. Freida meets a man who has dedicated his life to the hoolock gibbon, India's only ape, which starts the morning by singing. Jon climbs into the Himalayas and stops off at Debprayag to bathe in the sacred waters at a holy place where the River Ganges begins

Born: October 18, 1984 in Mumbai, India
Best Known For: Slumdog Millionaire.
Early-life: Freida Selena Pinto was born in Mumbai, India, on October 18, 1984 to Sylvia and Frederick. She has an older sister, Sharon. Freida appeared in plays while completing a degree in arts with a major in English literature and minors in psychology and economics at St Xavier's College, Mumbai. She found the Bollywood film industry tough to break into and ended up modelling instead for two and a half years. She then spent nine months hosting a TV travel show that allowed her to visit a number of countries around the world.
Career: Pinto was rejected for a number of acting roles until Danny Boyle cast her in Slumdog Millionaire (2008). The hugely popular film picked up a number of awards and launched Pinto's career in Hollywood. She was soon gracing magazine covers all around the world. Acting roles followed in Woody Allen's You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger (2010), Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011), Day of the Falcon (2012) and Trishna (2012).
