With the death of the last captive male, Sudan, the Northern White Rhinoceros was officially declared extinct in 2018. But in recent years, possible sightings from a remote region in the heart of Africa have given conservationists hope. This film follows an international team of experts on an expedition to war-torn South Sudan in search of the northern white rhinoceros.
