Early-life:
Scott Robert Mills was born in Eastleigh, Hampshire, on March 28, 1974. At the age of 16, he was offered a chance to be a DJ on his local commercial station, Power FM. He began by presenting a show through the night but he quickly moved to the more prestigious late-afternoon slot.
Career:
Mills moved from Power FM to GWR FM Bristol and stayed with his new station for two years before joining Piccadilly Key 103 in Manchester. In 1995, he began working for the then new London station Heart 106.2. Three years later, he joined Radio 1 to present The Early Breakfast Show. After moving around the Radio 1 schedule, he settled into a weekday afternoon slot that runs from 1pm to 4pm. In 2014, he was a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing.

Trivia:
A musical based on his life ran for three nights at the Edinburgh Festival in 2009. He won a gold Sony Radio Academy Award in 2010.
