Miranda Richardson (Actor) .. Ruth Ellis
Born: March 03, 1958 in Southport, Lancashire
Best Known For: Playing Queen Elizabeth I in Blackadder II.
Early-life: Miranda Jane Richardson was born on March 3, 1958, in Southport, Lancashire, the daughter of a marketing executive. She has one older sister, Lesley. Miranda says she never fitted into the area where she lived, describing it as full of nouveaux riche, and began her acting career in school plays. She left school at 17, with plans to be a vet, but then decided to concentrate on drama and enrolled at the Old Vic Theatre School in Bristol. She graduated three years later and began a stint in repertory theatre.
Career: Earned her Equity card at Manchester's Library Theatre in 1979. Two years later, she made her TV debut in sitcom Agony, while her first movie was Underworld in 1985. Her big break came later that year, playing Ruth Ellis, the last woman hanged in Britain, in Dance with A Stranger, but it was the role of Queen Elizabeth I in Blackadder that made her a household name. She turned down the Glenn Close role in Fatal Attraction, and has since played numerous tough or unusual women in projects such as The Crying Game and Sleepy Hollow. Miranda provided the voice of Mrs Tweedy in Chicken Run, and gained Oscar nominations for Tom & Viv and Damage. She appeared in the acclaimed, Oscar-nominated movie The Hours, while recent offerings include The Life and Times of Vivienne Vyle and Made in Dagenham. TV successes include thriller Rubicon.
Quote: "I would rather do many small roles on TV, stage or film than one blockbuster that made me rich but had no acting. And if that's the choice I have to make, I think I've already made it."
Trivia: Richardson was supposed to appear in Maleficent as the central character's aunt, but her scenes were cut from the final film.
Rupert Everett (Actor) .. David Blakeley
Born: May 29, 1959 in Burnham Deepdale, Norfolk
Best Known For: Being Madonna's pal.
Early-life: Born Rupert James Hector Everett on May 29, 1959, in Burnham Deepdale, Norfolk. He has an older brother called Simon. Rupert grew up in privileged circumstances - his father was a Major in the British Army - but was a rebel. At seven, he began attending Ampleforth College in Yorkshire, where he learned to play the piano. He was expelled from the Central School of Speech and Drama in London for insubordination, but landed himself regular work at Glasgow's Citizens Theatre, performing in such productions as Don Juan and Heartbreak House.
Career: Everett made his TV debut in The Manhood of Edward Robinson; his first film role came a year later in A Shocking Accident. Following the success of Another Country (both on stage and on film) and Dance with a Stranger in the 1980s, Everett took the potentially risky decision to openly declare his homosexuality. He enjoyed a successful stint as a model and published two novels before playing Julia Roberts' gay confidant in 1997's My Best Friend's Wedding, which helped revitalise his career. Since then he's appeared in such movies as Shakespeare in Love, An Ideal Husband, Stardust, St Trinians and Wild Target.
Quote: "I'm a sex machine to both genders. It's all very exhausting. I need a lot of sleep."
Trivia: He also provided the voice of Prince Charming in the Shrek movies, presented documentaries on such subjects as Lord Byron and Sir Richard Burton and appeared in a West End production of Pygmalion.

Best Known For: Playing Christine Keeler in Scandal.
Early-life: Born in Salford on August 25, 1964. Her dad was a plumber with his own business. She discovered her love of acting at an early age and made her TV debut in an episode of Coronation Street when she was just 10 years old. She went on to win parts in Emmerdale, How We Used to Live, Juliet Bravo and A Kind of Loving. Despite this, Joanne says she was a shy teenager, although she did find the confidence to front her own pop group, Cindy and the Saffrons. At 19, she took a non-speaking role as a groupie in Pink Floyd's The Wall, before joining the Theatre Royal at Stratford East.
Career: Whalley garnered rave reviews for her stage performances, and appeared in two hugely acclaimed BBC dramas - Edge of Darkness and The Singing Detective. She was expected to become a major movie star, but despite appearing in Navy Seals, Mother's Boys and A Good Man in Africa, her career didn't take off, and she took fewer parts after becoming a mother. She's also appeared in 40, The Virgin Queen, Child of Mine, 44 Inch Chest and The Borgias.
