Early-life:
Jason was born in Dublin on August 6, 1972 to Veronica and Stephen. He has a brother, Stephen, and a sister, Rebecca. He studied drama at Trinity College Dublin before moving to London to pursue an acting career.
Career:
O'Mara initially mixed a stage career with work in a number of TV series, including Peak Practice, Berkeley Square, The Bill, Playing the Field, Monarch of the Glen and High Stakes. He made his American TV debut in Steven Spielberg's 2001 miniseries Band of Brothers. He relocated to Los Angeles and went on to star in The Agency, In Justice, Men in Trees, the US version of Life on Mars, Terra Nova, Vegas and The Good Wife.
