Simon Reeve continues his quest to trace the southern tropic, travelling from South Africa to Madagascar. In Zimbabwe, the presenter comes face to face with the harsh realities of the refugee crisis, and witnesses a unique method of land-mine disposal in Mozambique. Heading to the Madagascan islands, he discovers an unusual local delicacy, and visits a town where the poor make a living by digging for sapphires

Simon Reeve (Presenter)
Born: July 21, 1972 in London
Best Known For: His BBC travel documentaries.
Early-life: Simon was born in London on July 21, 1972. He had a number of jobs after leaving school, including working in a supermarket and a charity shop. In 2001, he began making travel documentaries for the BBC.
Career: Reeve's travel documentaries for the BBC include Meet the Stans, Equator, Tropic of Capricorn, Explore, Indian Ocean, Australia with Simon Reeve, Sacred Rivers with Simon Reeve, Ireland with Simon Reeve and Greece with Simon Reeve. While working as an investigative reporter, he wrote books about Osama bin Laden and the Munich massacre that took place during the 1972 Summer Olympics.

Trivia: After catching malaria, Reeve became an ambassador for the Malaria Awareness Campaign.
