Career: Playing mainly minor roles, Capaldi went on to feature in episodes of Minder, C.A.T.S. Eyes, The Lair of the White Worm, Rab C Nesbitt, Ruth Rendell Mysteries, Agatha Christie's Poirot and the miniseries Selling Hitler. He returned to the big screen when he wrote and starred in 1993's low-budget Soft Top Hard Shoulder. Guest starring roles followed in Prime Suspect 3, The Vicar of Dibley, Judge John Deed, My Family and Midsomer Murders. His profile raised significantly in 2005 when he began playing foul-mouthed spin doctor Malcolm Tucker in BBC comedy The Thick of It, a role that won him a Bafta. She went on to appear in Julian Fellowes' ITV mini-series Titanic and starred in a BBC Four adaptation of John Braine's novel Room at the Top. She made her film debut in Captain America: The First Avenger (2011). Her profile increased significantly in 2012 when it was announced that she would play the companion in Doctor Who. Career: Frost's starring role in Spaced led to other roles, most notably a one-off episode of Acorn Antiques. In 2002, Frost presented the show Danger! 50,000 Volts! as well as co-writing and starring in the radio comedy Sofa of Time. Two years later, Frost and Pegg teamed up for the smash 'rom-zom-com' Shaun of the Dead (2004). Their next big-screen foray, Hot Fuzz (2007), went down equally well with audiences. The third film in their trilogy, The World's End, was released in 2013. Frost has also starred in TV comedies Hyperdrive and Mr Sloane, and the films Penelope (2006), Paul (2011), Attack the Block (2011) and Cuban Fury (2014).

Career: Following a role in 2004 one-off ITV comedy drama Von Trapped, Gumede became a series regular on BBC sitcom Ideal. Small roles followed in Emmerdale, Doctors, The Scum Also Rises, The Persuasionists, and Waterloo Road before her big break came in 2011 when she began playing Kirsty Soames, Tyrone Dobbs' girlfriend, on Coronation Street. She stayed with the soap for 18 months. In September 2013, she became a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing.
