Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Actor) .. Fleabag
Born: July 14, 1985 in London
Early-life: Born in London in 1985 _ both her parents are descended from baronets. She has a younger brother, Jasper, and an older sister, Isobel, who would go on to compose the music for Fleabag. Phoebe realised at eight that she wanted to act and after appearing in various school plays, she won a place at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, where she admits she initially struggled with her confidence. After graduating, Phoebe didn't work for two years.
Best Known For: Creating and starring in Fleabag
Career: Her friend Vicky Jones suggested that as they weren't getting parts, they should create their own, and Waller-Bridge began writing plays. She also started winning roles in series including Doctors, Broadchurch and Bad Education, as well as the films Albert Nobbs and The Iron Lady. In 2016, Phoebe wrote and starred in two comedies _ Channel 4's Crashing and BBC Three's Fleabag, which was based on her one-woman play of the same name. Fleabag became a huge critical hit, winning her a Bafta and two Royal Television Society Awards. Since then, Waller-Bridge has made a second series of Fleabag, brought the acclaimed Killing Eve to the small screen and played an outspoken droid in Solo: A Star Wars Story.
Quote: "It feels like, recently, a lot of female anger has been unleashed. Which is exciting for me because I've always found female rage very appealing."
Trivia: She'd never seen a Star Wars film before starring in Solo, and claims she didn't realise that her character was a robot because she didn't know what 'droid' meant.
