Ben Whitehead (Actor) .. Wallace
Reece Shearsmith (Actor) .. Norbot
Born: August 27, 1969 in Hull
Best Known For: The League of Gentlemen.
Early-life: Born Reeson William Shearsmith on August 27, 1969, in Hull. He met the men who would join him in The League of Gentlemen - Mark Gatiss, Steve Pemberton and Jeremy Dyson - while studying drama at Bretton Hall. In 1995, they began performing a sketch show at London's Cockpit Theatre, soon afterwards landing a residency at the Canal Café pub theatre, which compelled them to create new material at a fast pace.
Career: In 1997 the quartet won the Perrier Award, and their subsequent radio series, On the Town with The League of Gentlemen, set in the fictional town of Spent, won a Sony Award. In 1999 the League moved to TV - and Royston Vasey - with subsequent series in 2000 (including a typically sinister Christmas special) and 2002; plus a film, The League of Gentlemen's Apocalypse, in 2005. Outside of the League, Shearsmith has appeared alongside Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer in the comedies Catterick and House of Fools. He also popped up in Spaced and TLC. His other work includes Eric and Ernie, The Widower and Chasing Shadows on the small screen, and Burke and Hare, The World's End and A Field in England on the big screen. He has also appeared on the stage in Art, The Producers and Betty Blue Eyes. He re-teamed with fellow League star Steve Pemberton for Psychoville and Inside No 9.
Quote: "I think League of Gentlemen drew on our experiences growing up in northern towns, not that they were as weird and remote as Royston Vasey was. But it pervaded our material."
Trivia: In 2006, he appeared in the West End as Leo Bloom in The Producers.
Peter Kay (Actor) .. Chief Inspector Mackintosh
Born: July 02, 1973 in Farnworth, Lancashire
Best Known For: Phoenix Nights, charity records and sell-out comedy tours.
Early-life: Peter John Kay was born in Farnworth, Lancashire, on July 2, 1973. He failed all his GCSEs except art. Nevertheless, he pursued higher education, eventually studying at Liverpool Hope University, but he dropped out to study Media Performance at the University of Salford. Part of the course involved performing stand-up in a local pub, which made Peter determined to become a comedian. At college he supported himself with various jobs, including packing toilet rolls and working as a bingo caller.
Career: Kay won the City Life Northwest Comedian of the Year title and Channel 4's So You Think You're Funny contest in 1997. His first programme, The Services, was nominated for a Royal Television Society Award and led to his debut series, That Peter Kay Thing. His other acting work includes roles in 24 Hour Party People, Phoenix Nights, Linda Green, Max and Paddy's Road to Nowhere, Doctor Who, Coronation Street, The League of Gentlemen's Apocalypse, and Britain's Got the Pop Factor... and Possibly a New Celebrity Jesus Christ Soapstar Superstar Strictly on Ice. He has also fronted commercials, lent his voice to various animated projects, released a number of charity singles, appeared on stage in The Producers in Manchester and Cardiff in 2007 and published three volumes of autobiography. He returned to TV screens in 2015 with new sitcom Peter Kay's Car Share.
Quote: "How do you kill a circus? Go for the juggler."
Trivia: He supports Children in Need and Comic Relief; a stage version of Phoenix Nights raised money for the latter.

Diane Morgan (Actor) .. Onya Doorstep
Adjoa Andoh (Actor) .. Judge

Lenny Henry (Actor) .. Mr Convenience
Born: August 29, 1958 in Dudley
Best Known For: His array of loud characters in the Lenny Henry Show.
Early-life: Lenworth George Henry was born August 29, 1958, in Dudley, West Midlands, one of seven children. He's immensely proud of his late parents, mother Winnie and factory worker father Winston, both from Jamaica. He went to Bluecoats School where he gained seven CSEs. Inspired by science teacher James Brooks, who recognised his natural comic ability, he made a bid for showbusiness, winning New Faces at 16 thanks to his impressions.
Career: Henry's sitcom debut was The Fosters in 1976. A smooth progression to stardom followed in the anarchic children's Saturday morning programme Tiswas, then Three of a Kind, Lenny Henry Tonite, and Chef! He impressed movie bosses in the States with 1989 stand-up film Lenny Live and Unleashed, but when True Identity flopped in 1991, he returned to the UK. He subsequently reinvented himself as a serious actor with Alive and Kicking, White Goods, and Hope and Glory, but has since returned to comedy with sketch series Lenny Henry in Pieces and The Lenny Henry Show. His stage debut in Othello was a major success. In November 2011, Henry made his debut at the Royal National Theatre in The Comedy of Errors, and last year starred in a stage version of his radio show Rudy's Rare Records.
Quote: "It sounds pompous, but I try to ensure there's a level of quality in my work."
Trivia: Henry has been an outspoken critic of British TV's lack of ethnic diversity in its programming.
