Laos to Hawaii

The final leg of Simon's journey along the northern tropic begins in Laos, where he takes a boat down the Mekong River, and in Vietnam he investigates the trafficking of young women into China. Simon then heads to Taiwan where he visits the typhoon-damaged central highlands and he concludes his trip in Hawaii, which he discovers may not be quite the paradise the tourist brochures claim

Born: July 21, 1972 in London
Best Known For: His BBC travel documentaries.
Early-life: Simon was born in London on July 21, 1972. He had a number of jobs after leaving school, including working in a supermarket and a charity shop. In 2001, he began making travel documentaries for the BBC.
Career: Reeve's travel documentaries for the BBC include Meet the Stans, Equator, Tropic of Capricorn, Explore, Indian Ocean, Australia with Simon Reeve, Sacred Rivers with Simon Reeve, Ireland with Simon Reeve and Greece with Simon Reeve. While working as an investigative reporter, he wrote books about Osama bin Laden and the Munich massacre that took place during the 1972 Summer Olympics.

Trivia: After catching malaria, Reeve became an ambassador for the Malaria Awareness Campaign.
