Chris Barrie (Actor) .. Arnold Rimmer
Born: March 28, 1960 in Hanover, West Germany
Best Known For: Playing Rimmer in Red Dwarf.
Early-life: Christopher Jonathan Brown was born on March 28, 1960, in Hanover, West Germany. The son of a Major General, he spent most of his early life in Northern Ireland. He went to public school in Belfast, and started a business course at Brighton Polytechnic, before dropping out. Early jobs included collecting trolleys from a supermarket car park, working as a shipping import/export clerk and an estate agent.
Career: Barrie worked at Harrods, but was sacked for impersonating a colleague on the phone. After realising he had a talent for mimicry, he landed the job of providing the voices for Prince Charles, David Coleman and Ronald Reagan on Spitting Image. He went for the part of loveable curry-eating slob Lister in Red Dwarf, but was cast as the hologram Rimmer. He also developed a cult following in BBC One comedy The Brittas Empire, in which played the regimented manager of a leisure centre. After appearing in 2001 blockbuster, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, he featured in Lara Croft and The Cradle of Life, Back in Business and Midsomer Murders. He has also fronted a number of documentary series, including Chris Barrie's Massive Engines and Chris Barrie's Massive Machines.

Craig Charles (Actor) .. Dave Lister
Born: July 11, 1964 in Liverpool
Best Known For: Playing Lister in Red Dwarf and Lloyd in Coronation Street.
Early-life: Craig Joseph Charles was born in Liverpool on July 11, 1964. His father was a lorry driver and his Irish mother was a teacher. He grew up in Liverpool with three brothers, one of whom, Emile, is also an actor. As the only mixed race student in his class he turned to comedy to stop being bullied. He showed a talent for literature, winning The Guardian's poetry award at the age of 12, but dreamed of being a professional footballer. He played for Liverpool's youth team and had a spell at Tranmere Rovers.
Career: Charles started in showbusiness as a stand-up comedian and performance poet; he also wrote lyrics for various songs and played keyboard in the band Watt 4. In 1988, he landed the role of Lister in cult BBC sitcom Red Dwarf. He's also appeared in The Governor, EastEnders, The Bill, Doctors, and Captain Butler. Charles has hosted chat show Craig's Funky Bunker, presented game shows Robot Wars, Jailbreak, and Takeshi's Castle, and has published several books, including an autobiography. He joined Coronation Street in 2005, playing taxi driver Lloyd Mullaney. He also presents radio shows on the BBC network. In November 2014, he entered the jungle as a contestant on I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

Danny John-Jules (Actor) .. The Cat
Born: September 16, 1960 in London
Best Known For: Playing Cat in Red Dwarf.
Early-life: Daniel John-Jules was born in London on September 16, 1960. He trained at the Omnibus Theatre Company and Anna Scher Children's Theatre, and started out as a dancer. He was a member of the original cast of Starlight Express, playing a boxcar called Rocky I.
Career: John-Jules' other West End credits include Barnum, Time, Cats and Carmen Jones. He has appeared on TV in the likes of Maid Marian and Her Merry Men, The Tomorrow People and M.I. High but he is best known for playing Cat in sci-fi comedy Red Dwarf, a role he has played since 1988. His film credits include Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (1988), Blade II (2002) and Sucker Punch (2008). In 2011, he began playing Officer Dwayne Myers in Death in Paradise.
Quote: 'I love slipping from drama to comedy and feel blessed that I have a nice cross section of people who like the characters I perform.'
Trivia: For a number of years, he played his Cat character in the annual Christmas pantomime at Aldershot's Prince's Hall theatre.
Norman Lovett (Actor) .. Holly
Robert Bathurst (Actor) .. Todhunter
Born: March 22, 1957 in Africa's Gold Coast (now Ghana)
Best Known For: Playing David in Cold Feet.
Early-life: Robert Guy Bathurst was born on February 22, 1957, on Africa's Gold Coast (now Ghana), where his father worked as a management consultant. The family later moved to Ireland, where Robert was enrolled in boarding school, which he has since said he disliked. Despite this, he went on to study law at Cambridge, and joined the university's prestigious Footlights theatre society, appearing in sketches alongside the likes of Emma Thompson and Hugh Laurie. However, he was afraid he wouldn't be able to make it as an actor and initially decided to stick with law, until his love of performing finally won out.
Career: Robert made his professional debut in a Radio 4 series called Injury Time, going on to take a small role in the first episode of Red Dwarf, and also appearing on stage in Noises Off. He made more of a splash with sitcom Joking Apart, which he has described as his favourite role, but it was winning the part of David in comedy drama Cold Feet in 1996 that really made him a star. Since then, he's continued to be in demand on stage and TV, appearing in My Dad's the Prime Minister, Downton Abbey and The Pillars of the Earth, and playing John Le Mesurier in Hattie. He was also reunited with his Cold Feet co-star Hermione Norris for a production of Blithe Spirit. Recently, he has been playing Lord Thomas Davenport in TV horror drama Dracula.

Paul Bradley (Actor) .. Chen
Born: May 28, 1955 in Nuneaton
Best Known For: EastEnders and Holby City.
Early-life: Bradley was born on May 28, 1955, in Nuneaton, Warwickshire. He attended the University of Manchester before joining the Royal Exchange, Manchester repertory company.
Career: Bradley landed his first major role in 1982 in The Young Ones. He's since cropped up in The Bill, Red Dwarf and Bottom but is most noted for his role in EastEnders, where he spent six years as Nigel Bates, and in Holby City, where he has played Elliot Hope since 2005.
Quote: Speaking about getting the role of Elliot in Holby: 'I was delighted and celebrated by going to New Zealand to watch rugby!'
Trivia: He has worked as a guitarist for John Otway.

Best Known For: The Fast Show
Early-life: Born in Bromsgrove on August 22, 1959. As a teen he hoped for a career in academia, then read English at Brasenose College, Oxford University where he discovered a love of both acting and writing. He spent three years touring with The Mikron Theatre Company before proving himself a fine comic actor with early roles in Red Dwarf and Alexei Sayle's Stuff.
Career: Other early TV appearances came in Tumbledown, KYTV, Bottom and The Smell of Reeves and Mortimer. Williams became a famous face thanks to his appearances in The Fast Show, where he played a number of memorable characters. The Canterbury Tales, Gormenghast and Shackleton followed, but it was his role as Arthur Weasley in the Harry Potter franchise that made him recognisable worldwide. He has also appeared in successful films like Stardust and Shakespeare in Love and presented several documentary programmes, such as Mark Williams' Big Bangs.
