Charlie Sheen (Actor) .. Charlie Harper
Born: September 03, 1965 in New York
Best Known For: His meltdown following his axing from Two and a Half Men.
Early-life: Born Carlos Irwin Estévez on September 3, 1965, in New York. He almost died due to birth complications - his middle name is that of the doctor who saved him. He's one of Martin Sheen and his artist wife Janet Templeton's four children - all of whom have become actors. As a child, Charlie fought constantly with his older sibling Emilio, and was a gifted student until he began skipping school to play baseball.
Career: Sheen's screen debut came in 1974's The Execution of Private Slovik. Despite dreaming of a baseball career, he began acting professionally in the mid-1980s. He appeared in Red Dawn, Lucas and Ferris Bueller's Day Off before Platoon made him a star in 1986. He followed it up with Wall Street, Young Guns, Eight Men Out, Major League and two Hot Shots! movies. Sheen's career suffered as a result of his drug abuse during the 1990s, but he returned to form with appearances in Being John Malkovich, Spin City, Two and a Half Men and Anger Management.
Quote: 'If I've learned anything at all, it's that I know nothing about women. They remain a mystery.'
Trivia: Sheen promotes a line of electronic cigarettes known as NicoSheen.
Jon Cryer (Actor) .. Alan Harper
Born: April 16, 1965 in New York
Best Known For: Playing Alan in Two and a Half Men.
Early-life: Born Jonathan Niven Cryer in New York on April 16, 1965. His father is actor David Cryer, who has appeared in Escape from Alcatraz, American Gigolo and episodes of Law & Order, while his mother is songwriter and Broadway actress Gretchen Cryer. He graduated from The Bronx High School of Science in 1983, with aspirations of following in his parents' footsteps as an actor.
Career: Cryer's first TV role came in 1984's No Small Affair. Only two years later he became something of a cult icon thanks to Pretty in Pink, in which he played Phil 'Duckie' Dale, before landing smaller parts in Superman IV: The Quest for Peace, The Outer Limits, Becker and Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place, among others. He began work on Two and a Half Men in 2003, playing single parent Alan Harper, who moves in with his brother, portrayed by his Hot Shots! co-star Charlie Sheen.
Quote: On Sheen's meltdown: 'It's as much a mystery to me as to everyone, I think.'
Trivia: He received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2011.

Born: October 08, 1993 in Austin, Texas
Best Known For: Playing Jake Harper in US sitcom Two and a Half Men.
Early-life: Angus Turner Jones was born in Austin, Texas, on October 8, 1993. He began his showbiz career at a very young age, appearing in numerous TV commercials from the age of four, with his distinctive looks appealing to casting agents.
Career: Jones landed his first film role with a bit part in Simpatico, but he got his big break starring alongside David Arquette in See Spot Run. This led to him being cast as the cute but surly Jake in Two and a Half Men in 2003 alongside co-stars Charlie Sheen and Jon Cryer. He has also starred in TV movie The Christmas Blessing and had a guest role on Hannah Montana Forever.
Quote: "I'm learning a lot about comedy, and everyone is just hilarious. Sometimes the hardest thing for me is not to laugh."

Martin Sheen (Actor) .. Harvey
Born: August 03, 1940 in Dayton, Ohio
Best Known For: Being the patriarch of an acting family.
Early-life: Ramón Gerardo Antonio Estévez was born on August 3, 1940, in Dayton, Ohio. He's the seventh of 10 children from a poor, but close-knit, Catholic family. His Irish mother died when he was 11. He deliberately failed his college exams to pursue an acting career, much to his Spanish father's dismay. At 18, Sheen borrowed money from a priest to move to Manhattan, where he found employment as a curtain puller and prop man. He adopted his current name to avoid being typecast.
Career: Sheen toured Europe with the Living Theatre group in 1961 and starred on Broadway before moving to Hollywood. His big break came in Terrence Malick's 1973 cult classic Badlands. He had a heart attack while filming 1979's Apocalypse Now, and later became a passionate campaigner on human rights issues. He's since featured in projects such as Gandhi, miniseries Kennedy, Wall Street (alongside son Charlie) and Catch Me If You Can. Sheen starred as a White House aide in romantic comedy The American President, which led to him being cast as the US leader in acclaimed TV drama The West Wing. He had a small but eye-catching part in Oscar-laden cop movie The Departed. He has also starred in Bobby and The Way, both directed by his son Emilio Estevez. He played Ben Parker in The Amazing Spider-Man (2012).
Quote: On his son Charlie's wild ways: 'I absolutely believe that he'll come through it'.
