Early-life:
Nicholas Rowan Baker was born in Surrey on April 22, 1972. He graduated from the University of Exeter in 1993 with a degree in Biological Sciences, and was a keen naturalist from an early age. He co-founded Exeter University's Bug Club and was a member of the Royal Entomological Society's Youth Development Committee. His TV career began in earnest in 1996 when he started working on children's favourite, The Really Wild Show.
Career:
Nick is a regular contributor to Radio 4's The Natural History Programme and writes for many publications including the BBC Wildlife Magazine, Wildlife Watch, RSPB's Bird and Birdlife magazines and the Young Telegraph. He has written several books and fronted various wildlife and science shows for the BBC and Channel 5's Weird Creatures.
