Early-life: Poppy Petal Emma Elizabeth Deveraux Donahue was born on June 19, 1972, in Sydney, Australia. Her stage surname is her mother's maiden name. She has eight siblings, five of whom are named after flowers. Her mother is a market researcher, her father a restaurateur. They divorced when Montgomery was young. After leaving school she took a job as a waitress in one of her father's restaurants, but she was so hopeless, he fired her.
Career: Montgomery left home at 16 to go travelling, and two years later ended up in Los Angeles, harbouring dreams of becoming an actress. She worked at a well-known clothing store to make ends meet, but in the mid-1990s gained small roles in Party of Five, NYPD Blue, and Devil in a Blue Dress. Her first big role was in Dead Man on Campus, in 1998. Three years later, she played her idol Marilyn Monroe in miniseries Blonde. Her role as FBI agent Samantha Spade in Without a Trace made her a star in 2002. Since that series ended in 2009, she has starred in the TV movie Lying to be Perfect, and she will be playing JK Rowling in a made-for-TV movie about the Harry Potter author called Magic Beyond Words and secured the role of Det Carrie Wells in the US crime drama Unforgettable.

Dylan Walsh (Actor) .. Al Burns
Born: November 17, 1963 in Los Angeles
Best Known For: Playing Dr Sean McNamara in Nip/Tuck.
Early-life: Born Charles Hunter Walsh in Los Angeles on November 17, 1963. His parents worked in the US Foreign Service, meaning the first 10 years of his childhood were spent in such far-flung places as Africa, Indonesia and India. However, the family eventually settled in Washington DC. Walsh began acting professionally while still at high school, and later studied English at the University of Virginia. His sister, Alison, also eventually became an actor.
Career: After completing his degree, Walsh moved to New York to further his acting career. He made his TV debut in sitcom Kate & Allie in 1987, using the stage name Charlie Walsh. He's also been credited as Charles Hunter Walsh. His first film was 1989's Loverboy, which he followed with Where the Heart Is, Betsy's Wedding, and a regular part in TV series Gabriel's Fire. Supporting roles in Nobody's Fool, Congo, We Were Soldiers, Blood Work, and small-screen drama Brooklyn South raised his profile, but it was Nip/Tuck in 2003 that made him a star, with him remaining in the cast until its conclusion in 2010. He has since appeared in the US TV series Unforgettable.

Born: January 20, 1970 in Lynchburg, Virginia
Best Known For: Playing Billy Loomis in Scream.
Early-life: Ulrich was born Bryan Ray Trout in Lynchburg, Virginia, in 1970 and was raised in Concord, North Carolina. The nickname 'Skeet' originated from the nickname 'Skeeter' he was given by his Little League coach because of his small stature. Along with his slight frame he had poor health, including numerous bouts of pneumonia, and underwent open heart surgery at the age of 10. Ulrich graduated from Northwest Cabarrus High School, where he was a soccer standout. After initially enrolling at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington to study Marine Biology, he switched to New York University, and was subsequently noticed by playwright David Mamet.
Career: In his earliest screen appearances, Ulrich was an uncredited extra in films Weekend at Bernie's and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. After joining the Atlantic Theater Company as an apprentice, he performed with the group, which got him noticed yet again, this time by director Stacy Cochran. She cast him in a CBS School Break Special. With her help he also received his first notable role on screen in 1996 as the loutish boyfriend of Winona Ryder in Boys. That same year he appeared in The Craft with Neve Campbell. He starred with Neve Campbell again in Wes Craven's hit slasher film Scream released later that same year which became his best known role. Other roles followed in The Newton Boys, Chill Factor, As Good as It Gets, Touch, and in Ride with the Devil. He enjoyed a major following with TV drama Jericho. He signed on to star in Law & Order: Los Angeles, but was released from his contract after filming 11 episodes.
