Linda Nolan (Contestant)
Born: February 23, 1959 in Dublin
Best Known For: The Nolans.
Early-life: Linda was born in Dublin on February 23, 1959, to Tommy and Maureen, who had worked as singers in Ireland. The family moved from Dublin to Blackpool in 1962 and a year later, the Singing Nolans was launched. The original line-up featured Linda with her parents and her brothers Tommy and Brian, and sisters Anne, Denise, Maureen and Bernie. They performed on the northern club circuit.
Career: By 1974, the daughters began performing as the Nolan Sisters and the line-up included youngest sister Coleen. In 1975, the girls supported Frank Sinatra on a European tour. They released a number of singles and albums and their best-known song is I'm in the Mood for Dancing, which was released in 1979. Linda left the group in 1983 to pursue a solo career. She has also enjoyed an acting career, notably the lead role of Mrs Johnstone in Blood Brothers. In 2014, she took part in Celebrity Big Brother and was evicted five days before the final.
Quote: "We're a family and families have their feuds. But of course when something is wrong with somebody that you love, everything else pales into insignificance."
Trivia: In 2006, Nolan underwent a partial mastectomy to remove a four-inch tumour and 11 cancerous lymph nodes.

Colin Baker (Contributor)
Born: June 08, 1942 in London
Best Known For: Doctor Who.
Early-life: Born in London on June 8, 1943, Colin was raised and educated in Rochdale and Manchester. He trained to be a solicitor for five years before deciding to become an actor. He went to the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (Lamda) and made his theatrical debut at the Cambridge Arts Theatre in Plaintiff in a Pretty Hat. Other stage work followed, including repertory seasons in Guildford, Liverpool, Canterbury, Harrogate and the Chichester Festival.
Career: Baker made his TV debut in Jean-Paul Sartre's trilogy The Roads to Freedom. Between 1974 and 1976, he played the villainous Paul Merroney in The Brothers. He cemented his place in TV folklore after playing the title role in Doctor Who. His time as the sixth Doctor was short-lived as he only appeared in 11 stories over three years. This didn't stop him from reprising the character in the stage play Doctor Who - The Ultimate Adventure. He's since trod the boards in plays such as Privates on Parade, Run for Your Wife and HMS Pinafore. In 2012, he participated in I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!
Quote: "I do envy the three most recent Doctors because the BBC have suddenly realised they've got a golden egg in their hands."
Trivia: Away from acting, he writes a regular column for local newspaper Bucks Free Press.
