Early-life: Born William Bradley Pitt in Shawnee, Oklahoma, on December 18, 1963. His father ran a trucking firm. At school, his interests included sports, debating, student government and appearing in musicals. Early-life: Shia Saide LaBeouf was born in Los Angeles on June 11, 1986. He has described his parents as 'hippies', and his upbringing was pretty unconventional as the family struggled for money. He started acting classes at a young age and declined a place at Yale University to focus on the profession. He had a brief flirtation with stand-up comedy before moving into the slightly more mainstream path to teenage fame - Disney.
Career: Shia took a starring role in Disney show Even Stevens, as well as a number of Disney movies. He went on to small roles in films including Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle (2003) and Bobby (2006) before his big break came in 2007 when he starred in Disturbia. Early-life: Logan Wade Lerman was born in Beverly Hills on January 19, 1992 to Lisa and Larry. His family owns Lerman & Son, an orthotics and prosthetics company. He has two older siblings, Lindsey and Lucas. He began auditioning for roles in the late 1990s and picked up work in commercials. He made his film debut in The Patriot (2000). Roles followed in What Women Want (2000), Riding in Cars with Boys (2001), The Flannerys (2003), The Butterfly Effect (2004) and TV series Jack & Bobby.
Career: Lerman's first starring role came in the film Hoot (2006). He went on to star in The Number 23 (2007), 3.10 to Yuma (2007) and Gamer (2009). His big break came in 2010 when he was cast in the lead role in Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief (2010). Early-life: Michael Anthony Pena was born in Chicago on January 13, 1976 to social worker Nicolasa and factory worker Eleuterio. His parents emigrated from Mexico. After leaving school, Michael went to an open audition for To Sir, with Love II (1996) and landed a role. He relocated to Los Angeles and picked up parts in a number of films, including My Fellow Americans (1996), Star Maps (1997) and Gone in Sixty Seconds (2000).
Career: Pena has made guest appearances in a number of TV shows but he is best known for his film career, having starred in Crash (2004), Million Dollar Baby (2004), World Trade Center (2006), Battle: Los Angeles (2011), American Hustle (2013), Ant-Man (2015) and The Martian (2015). Early-life: Born into a tight-knit Jewish community in Liverpool on June 6, 1963, Jason moved at the age of 11 to London with his family; his parents later emigrated to Israel. He's the third of four children. His brothers grew up to become a lawyer, a doctor and an accountant respectively. Jason initially also studied law, but gave it up after becoming hooked on acting while at Bristol University. He went on to train at London's Central School of Speech and Drama.
