Early-life:
Laura was born in Greenwich, London, on April 24, 1982. After deciding that an offer to study law and psychology at university wasn't for her, she managed to secure a job as a runner at Channel 4. She moved up to the position of assistant floor manager and worked on a number of productions, including Top of the Pops, The Games and Big Brother.
Career:
Hamilton got her first break in front of the camera in 2004 on CITV's Fun Song Factory. She went on to cover red carpet events for Nickelodeon and presented Nick Jr's morning show Wake Up World. In 2012, she began presenting Fort Boyard: Ultimate Challenge and joined the roster of presenters on A Place in the Sun. She regularly writes for the A Place in the Sun magazine. In 2011, she participated in Dancing on Ice and finished second. In early 2014, she was a contestant on Channel 4's reality series The Jump.
