Early-life:
Richard Clifford Blackwood was born in London on May 15, 1972. His sister is supermodel Naomi Campbell. After graduating from university with a degree in Business Studies, Richard decided to pursue his dream of making it in showbiz. In 1993, he performed his first stand-up show at The Spot in Covent Garden. Three years later, he started co-presenting MTV Select alongside June Sarpong. The show ran for four years. In 1999, he showcased his talents on Channel 4 in The Richard Blackwood Show, which comprised sketches, interviews and music.
Career:
In 2000, Blackwood released his debut hip-hop album, You'll Love to Hate This, but his music career soon fizzled out. In 2004, he joined radio station Choice FM. On the stage, Blackwood has appeared in Cat On a Hot Tin Roof and Shrek, playing the character of Donkey. In February 2015, he made his first appearance in EastEnders as Vincent Hubbard.
