Mexico v South Korea

Mexico v South Korea (Kick-off 2.00am). Coverage of the Group A match at Guadalajara Stadium in Mexico. These nations were also drawn in the same group as each other at the 2018 finals in Russia and, on that occasion, it was the Mexicans who came out on top with a 2-1 victory in Rostov-on-Don, in their only previous World Cup clash to date. They have faced each other in two friendly matches since then, with the most recent taking place in September last year when they drew 2-2 at GEODIS Park in Nashville, USA. Both countries appeared at the 1994 finals when the USA served as sole hosts, and while South Korea failed to progress from a group also containing Germany, Spain and Bolivia, Mexico topped their group ahead of Republic of Ireland, Italy and Norway, but fell foul of Bulgaria in the last-16 via a penalty shootout
