Best Known For: Playing X Files hero Fox Mulder.
Early-life: David William Duchovny was born on August 7, 1960, in New York to a Scottish teacher mother, Margaret, and Amram, his publicist and playwright father who was of Ukrainian descent. They divorced when he was 11. He has a brother called Daniel. Duchovny earned an English Literature degree from Princeton University and a Masters in the same subject at Yale University. He became a part-time actor to help fund his PhD, but abandoned his studies in 1987 to pursue a show business career full-time.
Career: One of Duchovny's earliest roles was in a beer advert. Before making his debut as Mulder in The X Files in 1993 he was best known as Dennis/Denise, a transvestite FBI agent in cult TV drama Twin Peaks. He also hosted The Red Shoe Diaries series. On the big screen he has starred in Kalifornia, movie versions of The X Files, as well as Return To Me, Evolution, Zoolander, Steven Soderbergh's Full Frontal, Connie and Carla, My Dark Places and House of D. In 2007 he began a seven-year stint alongside Natascha McElhone in US comedy drama Californication. He is due to star in a new, 1960s-set drama called Aquarius, about the police's investigation into cult leader Charles Manson.

Trivia: Duchovny dated Perry Reeves and Sheryl Lee before marrying Tea Leoni in 1997. They have two children, Madelaine and Kyd, but are now separated.

Best Known For: The X Files.
Early-life: Gillian Leigh Anderson was born in Chicago on August 9, 1968. After briefly relocating to Puerto Rico her family moved to London while her father completed a course at the London Film School; they ended up staying for nine years. On their return to the US, young Gillian decided she wanted to be an actress after auditioning for a community play. Following high school, she studied acting at DePaul University's Goodman Theatre and left with a degree in Fine Arts. She moved to New York to pursue her acting dreams.
Career: Anderson's first big break came when she won an award for her performance in the off-Broadway play Absent Friends. After settling in Los Angeles, she had a guest appearance in TV series Class of 96, then landed the role of Dana Scully in The X Files. She won an Emmy and Golden Globe for her portrayal of the FBI agent; she's also appeared in two X Files movies. Anderson's other projects include The Mighty, The House of Mirth, The Last King of Scotland, How to Lose Friends and Alienate People, Bleak House, Great Expectations, The Crimson Petal and the White, and Hannibal. She's also the female lead in the hugely acclaimed BBC Two series The Fall, and contains to appear on stage.

Trivia: Anderson is a spokesperson for the Neurofibromatosis Network. Her brother Aaron was diagnosed with the condition as a child; he died at the age of 30 in 2011 after contracting a brain tumour.
Luke Wilson (Actor) .. Sheriff Hartwell
Born: September 21, 1971 in Dallas, Texas
Best Known For: Being the younger brother of Owen Wilson.
Early-life: Luke Cunningham Wilson was born in Dallas, Texas, on September 21, 1971 to Robert and Laura. He is the younger brother of actors Andrew and Owen. Luke's interest in acting took hold while a student at Occidental College in Los Angeles. Alongside Owen, Luke made his acting debut in short film Bottle Rocket (1994). Two years later, the 13-minute short became a full-length film under the same title and it united all three Wilson brothers. The full-length version was also Wes Anderson's directorial debut.
Career: After moving to Hollywood with Owen and Andrew, Wilson landed a role in Telling Lies in America (1997). In the same year, he also made a cameo appearance in Scream 2. He went on to star in the comedies Best Men (1997), Bongwater (1997) and Home Fries (1998) before teaming up again with Wes Anderson for Rushmore (1998). He worked with Anderson again in 2001, playing Richie in The Royal Tennebaums. Other credits include Charlie's Angels (2000) and its sequel Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle (2003), Old School (2003), Legally Blonde 2, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (2004), Idiocracy (2006) and Vacancy (2007). From 2011 to 2013, he starred in HBO comedy drama Enlightened.
