Bosnia and Herzegovina qualified for this tournament after coming through the UEFA qualification play-off round just three months ago, beating Wales in a penalty shootout following a 1-1 draw in Cardiff, which they then repeated on a memorable night in Zenica to reach this tournament for just the second time in their history, condemning Italy to a third consecutive absence at this event.
