Netherlands v Sweden (Kick-off 6.00pm). Mark Chapman presents coverage of the Group F match at Houston Stadium in the USA. The Dutch secured their place at this World Cup by finishing top of their qualifying group ahead of Poland, Finland, Malta and Lithuania, winning six of their eight matches and drawing the other two, and scoring 27 goals in the process while conceding just four. Overall, they have appeared at 11 of the previous 22 tournaments to be held and have progressed from the group stage at all nine of the tournaments to include one, and while they are yet to lift the trophy they have made it to the final on three occasions, in 1974, 1978 and 2010. While Sweden have struggled to even qualify for this tournament in the last 30 years, historically speaking they have a good record, reaching the semi-finals on three occasions, which included finishing as runners-up to Brazil when a 17-year-old Pele scored two goals in a 5-2 victory in the final when they served as hosts in 1958.
